Wind Song at Osbourne Harbour

The wonderful home named Wind Song by the current owners, has a colorful history worth sharing. Originally built by an Irish ship captain, who built schooners, he built this home around 1835. He actually disassembled his schooner to use the deck boards for flooring and ribs in the ceiling and the home today still has the same nautical flare. The current owners spent six months with countless tradespeople renovating and updating the house, while maintaining the style it was always meant to have. From the tiled ship compass with the schooner Bluenose to the very small "bird cage" WC under the hall stairs - it is truly a unique happy house. A large master bedroom and ensuite were added to the east side of the house to enjoy morning sunrises. The new large dining room leading to screened-in porch provides for beautiful sunsets. Four large bedrooms upstairs as well as a charming sitting area provide ample space for house guests ans the third floor tall attic space includes day bunks and ample room for children to play. This home is being offered completely furnished with the exception of some personal items and is definitely in move-in condition. With over eight acres of land, marvelous views, and a peaceful setting with walk-ways to the ocean's edge on both Allen's Bay and Osborne Harbour, this would be a wonderful family home. There is also a large finished shed, which could be used as a studio or even guest bunkie with a beautiful stained glass window that came from a local church after it was destroyed by fire. Lockport is a town with wonderful beaches, shops, and restaurants, and it is not far from Shelburne or Yarmouth with the ferry and about a two hour drive to Halifax.
